The privilege and titillating sense of rebellion in taking contemporary dance out of a conventional theatre context. Not being framed by a proscenium arch, but propped up by a concrete floor and a functioning bar has definitely allowed us to embrace something grittier, more human, more surreal and unfettered.(B.
